About the camp:
Camp dates: June 26-30th, 9-11am.
This camp is an awesome introduction to all things Violin. We will learn how to hold the instrument and bow, tips for making a beautiful sound, and basic note reading. Students will enjoy short performances throughout the week from professional musicians.
A high-quality student violin is included in each session. Each student receives a 10% discount off future rentals through South Bay Strings.

About the teacher:
Trained in the driving melodies of Celtic fiddle tunes and the precise beauty of Classical music repertoire, Emily Moore is an active performer and educator in Southern California. Studying violin and piano from the age of 4, she has remained a lifelong student in music, finishing her BM in Popular Music Performance from USC and in continuing education with the Suzuki Association.
Emily currently runs the Garden Concert Series in Redondo Beach, an intimate concert setting in an outdoor garden. GCS launched in 2021 and subsequently sold out its first full season featuring Constellation Quartet and a different guest artist each show.
A veteran of the freelance music community in Los Angeles, Emily has worked with a huge range of artists, played hundreds of weddings, recorded on more albums than she can count, and has performed at Santa’s Village more than once. Her solo music can be found on all streaming platforms and she has additional releases under “Constellation Quartet” and “The Grand Tangent.”
A dedicated educator, Emily has a thriving private music studio in Torrance, CA. She loves connecting with students of all ages and their families and deeply believes in the transformative power of music education.
